Windance Estate Wines - Yallingup, Margaret River wine region


We aim to produce wines that appeal to all palates. Our maritime climate and north facing slopes together with mild winters, ensure that our grapes are ripe and bursting with flavour when picked. The winemaker, Damon Eastaugh, has ensured that the flavour of the vineyard has shone through.

		WHITES
		Sauvignon Blanc Semillon 2009 3 STARS Winestate Magazine BRONZE medals x 3	80% Estate Sauvignon Blanc 20% Estate Semillon. Pale straw in colour with a tinge of green. An easy drinking style of wine opening with a flinty nose which combines with perfumed aromas of passionfruit, kiwi, gooseberry and pear. These follow through on the palate with balanced acids to creat a fruit and herbacious crisp finish. This wine would complement seafoods and white meats. Serve chilled and enjoy.

		Unoaked Chardonnay 2009 3 STARS Winestate Magazine Bronze - MRWIA Show	Clear and very pale straw colour. A delightful wine that opens with aromas of pear blossom, nashi and lychee that carries through to pineapple on the palate. This wine has a refreshingly crisp finish with just a hint of residual sweetness. Perfect for summer days, salad and tasty foods.

		Chenin Blanc 2009 3 STARS Winestate Magazine	100% Chenin Blanc. This is a semi-sweet wine that opens with a robust bouquet of tropical fruit salad. It fills the mouth with a luscious fruit salad blas of flavours, leaving hints of pineapple and passionfruit to finish.

		Reserve Wooded Chardonnay 2007	Malolactic fermented in French oak barriques (25% new) for 8 months. Quite restrained bouquet with buttery and nutty oak, stone fruit and melons. A creamy lift of peaches and nectarine, followed by a lingering stone fruit, pink grapefruit and fine flint to finish.

		REDS
		Rose 2008 3 STARS Winestate Magazine	100% Estate Shiraz. This rose is made from our shiraz grapes and it presents as a semi-sweet style. The bouquet opens with aromas of red confectionary. A palate of strawberries with hints of toffee. An aromatic and lively wine that is delicious with spicy foods.

Intense aromas of ripe plums, cedar and dark chocolate tempt the nose. A palate of morello cherries and mulberries supported by fine toasted French Oak with assertive tannins create a long lingering finish. Smooth and full flavoured with perfect balance. Cellar up to 7-12 years.

		Shiraz 2007 Top Gold - Scoop Wine Awards 08 Top 5 STARS Winestate Magazine Silver - Cowra Wine Show 08 Bronze - Perth Royal Wine Show 08 Trophy & Gold - MRWIA Show 08 Gold - Qantas Wine Awards 08 95 Points - James Halliday	Aged 9 months on French oak. Intense colour ,a nose of plum and mulberries with a gaggle of five-spice. Charry, non-dominant oak. Red currant, plum and mulberry, with dark chocolate. A plump, middle palate with cedar and vanilla toasty oak to follow. Finishes with fine grained, persistent tannins. Cellar 5-10 years.

		Shiraz 2008 Silver - Cowra Wine Show 2009 4 STARS Winestate Magazine	Aged 9 months on French Oak. Aubergine in colour. Opens with spicy mulberries and mocha on the nose. On the front palate it has plums, 5 spice and chocolate-mocha, hints of nettles with toasted French oak, lively tannins and lasting savoury flavours, a gamey nuance. Medium bodies and a smooth finish. Suit medium term cellaring 5-7 years.

		Cabernet Shiraz 2009 4 STARS Winestate Magazine	A Cabernet Shiraz of the Australian tradition with moderated alcohol levels, 13.8%. 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Shiraz. Opens with smoky, toasty tones of cedar and nutmeg on the nose. A palate of spicy ripe plums and blackcurrants with great length. Cellar 5-7 years.

		Reserve Shiraz 2007 4 STARS Winestate Magazine 93 points Ray Jordan Gold - Qantas Wine Awards 08 95 Points - James Halliday	Aged in American Oak barriques for 14 months. Inky, impenetrable colour, a nose of raspberry, star anise and cloves. A touch of charry oak, plum and subtle spice. The palate has a lively concentration of fruit, some dark chocolate secured by firm tannins. A complex and stylish wine. 14.5% alcohol. Cellar 7 – 12 years.

		Merlot 2009 3.5 STARS Winestate Magazine	Aged 9 months on French oak, 15% Cabernet. Presenting a complex array of plum, dark cherry, cedar, with light lifted spice. An avalance of Satsuma plums and dark cherries with a subtle herbal note. Finishes with chalky but fine-grained tannins with the French oak playing a supportive role. Cellar for 3-5 years.

Deep, dark crimson with an aubergine rim. Cassis, a hint of cedar and dark cherries on the nose. Big and bold. A cascade of blackcurrants, cherries and red berries floods the palate. A background of more cedar and toasted French oak marries with fine-grained, persistent tannins. A very long finish, fit for a King. Cellar 7-12 years.

		Cabernet Merlot 2008 4 STARS Winestate Magazine Bronze - Cowra Wine Show 2009	34% Merlot. A hot summer and a normal harvest give some great flavours. The nose opens with aromas of plum, mulberries and hints of background spice. Good colour intensity. A complex layered palate of red fruits with some chocolate and mocha to add interest. A joint hint of herbaceous and herbal characters give it a definitive oak background. Good length and medium-bodied. Cellar up to 5-7 years.

		Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2007 3 STARS Winestate Magazine Silver - MRWIA Show 08 Silver - Qantas Wine Awards 08 94 Points - James Halliday	Aged 14 months in French Oak barriques. Bright crimson in colour. A nose of vanilla and tobacco, with signature Margaret River leafiness, toasty tones of blackcurrant and cassis on the palate with herbaceous overtones. Plump, full and powerful, with firm, chewy tannins. A muscular wine with great length, ready for the long haul. 14.9% alcohol. Cellar 7 – 12 years.

		Zephyr Sweet Red	A blend of Cabernet Saugivnon and Shiraz - 13% Alc. Named after Zephyrus, God of the West Wind in Greek mythology. A sweet, succulent blast of red berry fruits are supported by soft, smooth tannins and a hint of spicy oak. Chill down for hot summer days. Ready to drink now or cellar for 3 years.
