Our Vineyard

Our vineyard is located 5km South of Yallingup and 25km North of Margaret River town. The vines are planted in a North to South orientation along the North facing slope of the famous Yallingup Coastal Ridge. Yallingup has its own micro-climate, it is drier and warmer than the southern part of the Margaret River wine region, on average being 3°C warmer over the ripening period.

Our winemaker, Tyke, is also our viticulturist and hands-on vineyard manager. Spending most of the year attending to our vines ensuring he has the very best fruit to work with when he gets it into the winery.

There are 8.5 hectares under vine on our 39 hectare property, consisting of Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Shiraz and Grenache. We also have an olive grove, providing the perfect wind break for our vines. Our soils are gravelly loams, with pockets of deep red soils where we have planted our premium Cabernet Sauvignon.

Our vineyard is Demeter Certified Biodynamic. Keeping our soils healthy, we use non-acidic, natural fertilisers to encourage the growth of microbes and earthworms. For pest management we use sheep and guinea fowl and use a complete cover crop on the vineyard for natural nutrients.

It is our aim to have a sustainable future, minimising any detrimental impact on Yallingup’s pristine environment.
